In the vast landscape of streaming content our series "The Conversations Project" is emerging as a thought-provoking beacon, shedding light on crucial conversations within the black community. This series dives deep into matters that truly matter to our culture, transcending mere entertainment to become an honest exploration of real issues, including those affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. Which I believe is one of the reasons the series has earned a nomination for a GLAAD award – an accolade that reflects its commitment to authentic, impactful storytelling.
Many in the industry know it is very difficult to get a show like “The Conversations Project” produced, after all it features a group of African American individuals from various backgrounds breaking bread, and sharing different thoughts and opinions in an orderly fashion. One of the series' strengths also lies in its commitment to authenticity. Each person including LGBTQIA+ individuals featured in the episodes shares their stories without filters, providing a window into their unique life experiences. By humanizing these narratives, "The Conversations Project" challenges stereotypes and fosters a more nuanced understanding of the challenges and triumphs within the culture as we forge a way forward to build with those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

When we screened the series for a group of students at Clark Atlanta University, Spellman and Morehouse they thanked the producers for creating the series that showed our people in this light.
